Copyright Policy

Last Updated: 22 February 2026

ContentGate (“ContentGate”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects intellectual property rights and expects users of the Service to do the same.

This Copyright Policy outlines the procedure for reporting alleged copyright infringement related to content accessible through the ContentGate platform.

1User Responsibility

ContentGate allows users (“Creators”) to upload and distribute encrypted digital content. Creators represent and warrant that:

They own or control all rights to the content they upload.
The content does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
They have obtained all necessary licenses, permissions, and authorizations.

Creators are solely responsible for the content they publish.

2No Pre-Screening

Due to the decentralized and encrypted nature of the Service:

We do not pre-screen all uploaded content.
We may not have access to encrypted files.
Metadata may be publicly visible, but file contents may not be.

However, we reserve the right to take action when properly notified of infringement.

3Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that content available via ContentGate infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notice containing:

Your full legal name and contact information.
A description of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
Identification of the specific content or listing in question (including URL, listing ID, wallet address, or transaction hash if available).
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information provided is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
Your physical or electronic signature.

4Review and Action

Upon receiving a valid infringement notice, we may:

Investigate the claim
Disable access to related metadata listings
Remove interface visibility of the content
Restrict the creator's access to the platform
Take additional action as necessary

Due to the immutable nature of blockchain transactions:

We cannot delete blockchain records.
We cannot reverse completed transactions.
We may not be able to remove content stored on decentralized networks.

However, we may disable platform-level access and visibility.

5Counter-Notification

If you believe that content was removed or restricted in error, you may submit a counter-notification including:

Your name and contact information.
Identification of the removed content.
A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe removal was a mistake or misidentification.
Your consent to the jurisdiction specified in our Terms of Use.
Your electronic or physical signature.

We may forward the counter-notice to the original complainant. We may restore access if appropriate under applicable law.

6Repeat Infringers

ContentGate reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts or wallet addresses associated with repeated copyright violations.

7Decentralized Infrastructure Disclaimer

ContentGate operates using decentralized technologies including blockchain networks and distributed storage systems. You acknowledge that:

Content stored on decentralized systems may not be fully removable.
We do not control blockchain data.
Smart contract transactions cannot be altered.
Our enforcement is limited to platform-level access control.

8Good Faith Requirement

Submitting false infringement claims may result in liability under applicable law. You agree that all notices must be submitted in good faith.

9International Application

This Copyright Policy applies globally. If applicable, this policy is intended to comply with frameworks similar to:
